Three Teens Cited For Drinking In Norwalk District
Three 17-year-old Norwalk boys were cited into Juvenile Court for drinking after police found them wandering the business district early Sunday. Two men aged 18 and 19, Jean C. Remy and Eddie G. Beer, were charged with contributing to delinquency of a minor. One boy claimed he drank eight quarts of beer and had a cut above his left eye, said to be from a trash can. A brother brought the youth to the hospital for treatment after authorities tried to contact their parents. Patrolmen Lau and Martin handled the case.

Ohio Edison officials cite sabotage for a west side blackout and Austintown Township outage as three electricians unions force a month and a half of stoppages. A 91 year old man, Ferdinand Heinz, died after being found near East Main Street and South Garden Street. authorities say heart attack. Heinz, born in Germany, had lived in Norwalk 44 years and formerly worked for a local employer.

Ptl Short Completes TU Course in Juvenile Police Training
Norwalk patrolman John Short will receive a certificate at the University of Toledo for completing an 80 hour juvenile police training course. The program, sponsored by the Ohio Youth Commission and the university, included 80 officers from across the state and covered youth culture, juvenile delinquency, court procedures, and community relations. Mayor Harold Finch will attend the graduation. First Amphibian Tractor Battalion service details and civic action work in South Vietnam are noted.
