New London Council to Review Reservoir Financing Plan
Mayor Preston Golding will seek council approval to schedule a meeting with Cleveland attorneys on financing options for the proposed New London underground reservoir. The BPA will pay for legal services as discussions cover costs, water treatment, transmission lines, and sewage facilities with funding plans including federal matching funds. The planning commission also noted a need to fill the First Baptist Church vacancy, proposing Lyle Knapp as replacement through October.

Appointment By Board Defended
Mrs Florence Humm of rural Berlin Township was named to the Berlin Milan Library Board to fill the vacancy from Mary Burnhams death. She will not take over the clerk treasurer post. A village council resolution criticizing appointing a Milan resident to that clerk treasurer post drew brief remarks from library board member Richard Obermiller. He said the appointment does not change the boards voting power. He called the council resolution out of line.
