Plan for East Bloc and Mongolia 20-year economic integration
Moscow sources say a grand 20-year plan for integrating East European Communist economies and Mongolia will be published this weekend. It covers eight countries and includes compromises likely to let even non Communist states join. In Bucharest last week the ministers agreed on a framework aimed at broader adherence. Franz Burbach attempted to walk an 800 foot three inch rope over the Thames but failed after wind and equipment trouble. He fell into the river and was rescued, joking about wanting 800 feet of rope.

Jail Break Attempt Foiled In Mahoning County
Mahoning County deputies halted a jail escape bid after catching prisoner Charles Ruip of Akron using a diamond coated back saw blade to cut his cell window. A woman accomplice was also detained after two nights of smuggling tools to Ruip through his window using a long thread and attached items including a hacksaw blade nylon rope and gloves.

Eighteen of twenty five defendants in a sedition case against the Greek regime were acquitted in a civil court trial. It marked the first such civil trial since the 1967 coup. Grand Jury To Probe Lima State Hospital
