Unemployment Rises to 5.8 Percent in July

Gilligan weighs grand jury probe on Lima hospital report

Grants totaling 8400 dollars fund 25 Dollars for Scholars grants

The Norwalk Dollars for Scholars chapter awarded 8400 dollars in grants to 25 local students for 1971. Read names of 23 recipients released by publicity director Tom Bleile. Several students will study at Bowling Green State University Ohio State Miami University and other colleges with loans.

Home Savings Names New Executive Vice President

Socrates Delianides of Canton will become executive vice president and manager of The Home Savings and Loan Association of Norwalk on Sept. 1. He was named by the board, announced by Herbert R. Freeman, president. Delianides has been an Ohio Department of Commerce examiner and previously worked for City National Bank of Columbus. The post had been vacant since Bernard J. Logan resigned last year.

City to hold talks on trailer park electric distribution sale

Trailer Park Power Director Herbert Krogh and City Solicitor Frederick Waugh will meet Tuesday with lawyers for two Norwalk park owners to discuss a purchase price for their electric distribution systems. The dispute follows Paul Robinson's charge that negotiations have bogged down and that park residents may face higher rates after earlier city purchases.
