Water access gaps discussed by Huron County health official
Clarence Ellett of the Huron County Department of Health told the Mayor's Committee on Human Relations that many homes lack water and others have unsafe supplies. He noted state and city codes do not require water but address water use. The health board delayed final reading of a proposed housing code and asked for copies. The committee also reviewed complaint procedures and an equal opportunity employer pledge from 78 businesses with aims to reach 100. A skill bank questionnaire is in development with Helen Oglesby coordinating.
