Two Cleveland priests teaching at a Jesuit University in Detroit plan to marry. Rev. Thomas Spitter ordained in 1964 will wed. Rev. Donald Brezine plans to marry but has no partner in mind and is leaving the priesthood to pursue non priest life. The church forbids priest marriage.
Barbara Shampain, 38, was arrested at a Manhattan police station after allegedly offering 10000 dollars to kill her husband. The contact turned out to be an undercover detective. Barbara and Seymore Shampain, both longtime married spouses, have a history of three marriages and two prior divorces since 1953.
