Disabled Marine Kills Two Police Then Surrenders
In Chicago a 41 year old Marine veteran killed two police officers who questioned him about a department store bombing and then held hundreds of officers at bay for six hours with guns grenades and improvised bombs before surrendering. He admitted planting the April 7 bomb at Goldblatt Brothers to show how awful war is. A woman clerk was killed and eight more injured. In Columbus a plan to build a multi million dollar vocational school in Auglaize and Mercer counties was approved by the state Board of Education.
