Civilians Die In War Accident Near Cambodian Border
A U S Army single engine plane fired rockets into sampans near Tan Chau killing eight South Vietnamese civilians and wounding 11 Americans. Wounded were taken to Can Tho hospital. The raid occurred amidst other Viet Cong strikes in South Vietnam, raising rocket and mortar raids to 1560 since the offensive began with five Vietnamese killed in a Mekong Delta town.
