Railroad officials seek federal action as a nationwide strike appears likely to start at midnight Wednesday. A stray .30 caliber bullet scratched glass and lightly cut a girl as a car carrying Robinson family passed near Havana Road about 5:15 p.m. The shot, described as possibly hunting or target practice, came from a high powered rifle. Elderly Couple Die In Apparent Murder Death By Own Action

In Ashland Ohio an elderly couple William Kaul 67 and Mary Alice Kaul 64 were found dead in a house after fires set in multiple rooms. Deputies say it appears to be a murder death by their own action with bodies located in an upstairs bedroom and a downstairs bathroom.

Luncheon Sold Out For Governor Rhodes Stop

Superior Honors For Ohio State Science Fair Participants

Five Huron County students earned superior ratings at the Ohio State Science Fair in Columbus. Norwalk High School dominated with freshmen Linda Horning and Helen Hamilton earning superiors, sophomore Diane Kerkhoff and senior Kevin Conry also noted for high marks, plus Monroeville freshman John Meyer achieving a superior. Kevin Conry received a special $25 bond and citation. others posted excellent or good results across projects on optical illusions, telescope building, Vowell synthesis, game playing computers, and photon research.

Pistol Found On 14 Year Old At Norwalk Theater

A 14 year old boy was cited into Juvenile Court after police found a pistol on him at the Norwalk Theater. He said he took the weapon the night before from a friend’s home and was later released to his parents.
