The Pioneer Rubber Co of Willard dropped contempt charges against over 100 people accused of violating a court injunction on picketing. Only Harold Lehman was convicted, his 10 day sentence suspended on appeal. Other cases including Truman Gibson and Ralph Kennard were dismissed. a 66 day strike ended March 31.

Prowlers Reported on Parsons Street
Three Parsons Street residents reported prowlers in the Parson Grove Street area Friday night. Robert W. Simons saw a man run from his garage at 8 42 p m and vanish into the woods between his home and Grove Street. Phyllis Giallombardo and her boyfriend arrived home at 12 45 a m to find a man exit her garage and flee toward the woods. Lester Garner heard a dog bark at 8 30 p m and saw two or three teenaged boys near his car who fled when he confronted them.
