Curtis Gets the School Location Chosen on Thirty Third Ballot
The state board of public lands and buildings met in Lincoln and on the thirty third ballot selected Curtin as the site for the state agricultural school. North Platte received minimal support with one or two votes on several ballots. Holdredge, key in passing the bill, saw slight consideration despite spending thousands to promote the proposition.

Bids due by 6 pm June 15 in the office of County Superintendent Ebright or North Platte Post Office. Each bid must include a $5 contract with Scott Treasurer and checks are renewed if bids are rejected. The board may reject any or all bids.
