Mexico's King of Garbage dies sparks estate fight
Rafael Gutierrez Moreno, known as the King of Garbage, built a 10,000-strong dump community at Santa Catarina, ran a company town, and amassed a fortune. After his March 14 killing, over a dozen lawsuits and a power struggle emerged as Guillermina de la Torre Malvaez, who says she married him, takes control with support of many pickers and plans a cooperative shift while the estate is frozen.
