Thieves Sentenced With Drug Program and Restitution
Two men admitted thefts in Frederick County. James Snowden, 21, received a 10 year term with half suspended and admission to the Second Genesis drug program. Christopher Issette, 18, was given a suspended 10 year term with five year probation, mandated to repay $470 to the victim and pay $150 in attorney fees. Snowden aided by prior break-ins and vehicle thefts. Issette admitted daytime home burglary and theft, with additional charges dismissed.

Montgomery planners review amendments to the Germantown Master Plan at a work session of the county planning board on Oct. 8 in the board auditorium at 8787 Georgia Ave. Proposals call for lower density, diverse housing including singles and detached homes, a Townscape Design Study to strengthen place, and pedestrian and bike connections.
