Planning Group Pushes to Expand Planning Commission
A planning group adopted a resolution to boost citizen participation in Planning Commission affairs. It calls for increasing the commission to seven members, including women candidates, establishing an advisory group of representatives from county towns Urbana and Adamstown regions and minority groups, and starting a monthly informational newsletter in January. The advisory panel would meet biannually and attend all Planning Commission meetings, with staff review and input from various regional groups.
