Guards begin training as guerrillas destroy planes
More than 100 federal agents arrived at Kennedy Airport to begin a cram course on antihijack operations two hours after Nixon announced the program. The trainees, mostly in their 20s and 30s, wore civilian clothes and would conceal pistols under jackets while touring Boeing 707 and 747 mockups and learning evacuation procedures. Sky marshals from the FAA also lectured on combat techniques in cabin mockups.

Dynamite Suit Settled In Frederick County Case
A Maryland county couple was awarded 379.15 in civil action in Frederick County Circuit Court. Judge Robert E. Clapp Jr. ruled for Stephen Mester and his wife and for Adlai Magee and his wife over alleged damage from Ridge Road blasting for I 70 in 1967. Plaintiffs claim wells were lost and fixtures damaged. Garage Fire Injures Fireman Near Feagaville
