Grandmother Wins Round To Stay Here
A 61 year old Baltimore grandmother won a stay of deportation from immigration authorities. Senator Beall announced the stay through March 1, 1958, as part of efforts to appeal Mrs. Matrona Karpuk's case after an immigration hearing found her a former Communist and a Russian citizen slated for deportation. Also reported are Woodsboro Livestock Sales prices for various animals and a note that the U.S. Post Office Department maintains 40,000 post offices.
