FCNB backs Cultural Arts Center project in Frederick
FCNB donated 319000 to the Frederick Arts Council to establish the Cultural Arts Center of Frederick at the former McCrary site on West Patrick Street. The plan includes a 2000 to 300 seat theater and space for rehearsals offices and sets with a ribbon cutting set for Monday Oct 19 from 5 to 7 pm.

FCC Nursing Tops State for First-Attempt RN Pass Rate
Frederick Community College reports all eight fiscal 1998 registered nursing graduates passed the state licensing exam on the first try. Forty eight graduates passed the RN exam and all practical nursing graduates also cleared the licensing test. FCC had a 109 percent pass rate for its PN program. Jane Garvin credits a robust student support system including tutoring and mentoring.
