Washington November 15 railroad workers from five major unions engineers firemen conductors switchmen and trainmen protested to the president against proposed freight rate legislation They argued lower rates would reduce railroad earnings and wages while seeking fair treatment for all parties involved.
Boston, Nov. 15. A warrant for the arrest of Thomas F Lawson in a criminal libel case brought by Clarence W Barron was ordered by Judge Wentworth but will not be served until Saturday when Lawson will appear to answer the charge. The suit cites statements in a magazine and in other publications. Atty Gen Harrisburg says Attorney General Carson will not be a candidate for governor next year and will not allow his name to be used.
