Smiths fried oysters draw crowd at New Market dinners
Smith, praised by locals like Kate Wachter and Mary Sullivan, has cooked oysters for about 30 years at PTA and fire hall fundraisers. The two Saturday dinners, Nov 7 and Nov 14, expected to draw 1,100 to 1,200 and 2 to 7 pm, feature four fryers, blue plate meals, and oysters shipped from Woodfield’s Oyster Plant in Galesville.
