Butler Saw farce staged at Arena Stage Kreeger Theatre
Richard Leichert reviews Joe Orton’s What The Butler Saw at Arena Stage. The farce, set in a private clinic, features Dr Prentice and Miss Barclay with English actors Bauer Shepherd Drake delivering sharp satire on sex and society. The production, set by John Conklin, evokes English farce style and holds up under American audience scrutiny.
