Resthaven to Build Mausoleum Complex Near Frederick
Resthaven Memorial Gardens plans a new mausoleum complex on the cemetery site near Frederick. McClesky Mausoleum Associates of Atlanta awarded the contract to design and construct the first 720 crypt unit with marble interiors from Portugal and Italy and granite exterior. The project includes a chapel and columbarium for cremation urns, air conditioned and heat controlled with wood paneling and soft lighting. The site will hold at least 15,000 crypts and serve Frederick County, Gaithersburg, and northern Montgomery County residents. The first unit requires over a million pounds of concrete and 36,000 pounds of steel.
