Ex NYC officer stops hijacker on Nassau flight
An ex New York City policeman claimed explosives but was overpowered by pilot John O Neill as he reached two bags near a waiting car. James Bennett 39 of Merrick NY led 132 passengers on a Nassau bound EAL 727 from Miami. U S Customs and Nassau police subdued him and found no explosives. He was jailed in Nassau as officials sort jurisdiction with the State Department.

Mandel Signs Paddling Bill In Maryland Schools
