Potomac Edison seeks fuel rate hikes and base rate rise
The Maryland PSC heard Potomac Edison proposals for a fuel rate increase and a deferred fuel hike with briefs due by May 27 and rebuttals by June. A 66 cent surcharge already went into effect while an initial 77 cent monthly hike began February. A fall 26 cent deferred fuel rise is planned and a possible mid November base rate increase for Clean Air Act compliance could reach 863 per month. The average bill is about 7013 monthly.
