Poolesville votes for sliding scale water rates
Poolesville will shift to a water rate schedule in October with a sliding scale from 4 to 6.75 per 1000 gallons and quarterly billing beginning July 1. The plan, approved unanimously by the town commission, aims to avoid cross-subsidizing heavy users and replaces the prior flat 3.50 rate.
