City girl Becky Mills named Maryland FFA president

Becky Mills, a Frederick High School graduate and long time Frederick FFA member, was elected president of the Maryland FFA Association at the 64th state convention. She also won state proficiency, knowledge, and senior extemporaneous speaking contests. New officers include Jeremy Peterson as VP, Steve Eyler as secretary, and Kelly Woods as sentinel. Local chapters dominated contests with Frederick FFA winning the knowledge contest and production agriculture award, Oakland second, Harford Vo-Tech third.

Free State sues county over recycling plant blocking actions
