Myrtle Kefauver Huffer of Braddock Heights won a $900 Buick Roadster in a 1912 News-Post subscription contest by amassing 2,023,849 votes. She chose not to travel to Europe, expanding her life with work across Maryland Pennsylvania and roles shaping Braddock Heights Amusement Park with husband Roland Huffer. She later kept the car and eventually gifted it to her sister after decades of driving it around Middletown and beyond.
