Elmer Bokesch Dies After Heart Attack At 57
Elmer R Bokesch of 18 Kline Boulevard, Fort Detrick employee and 33rd Degree Mason, died Friday night of a heart attack at age 57. Born in Homestead Pennsylvania April 17 1914 to Michael and Sophia Bokesch, he is survived by his wife Jean K Oswald Bokesch, a son Charles R Bokesch of Atlanta, and two brothers. An alumnus of Newberry College Magna Cum Laude 1941, he studied chemical engineering at Clemson and Georgia Tech. A long time Mason, he held multiple offices including Past Master of Lynch Lodge 163 and Grand Inspector in Maryland. He was coroneted a 33rd Degree Mason in April 1965 and was active in numerous Masonic bodies. The obituary notes continued details on affiliations and honors.
