Enforcement of parking brings relief to civic group
The City of Frederick will enforce no parking rules at Seventh and Eighth streets and Taney Avenue to ease issues for the College Estates Civic Association. The move follows complaints about McDonald’s at Seventh Street and Taney Avenue, including extended hours, heavy traffic, litter, and noise. Association leaders urge stronger police presence and adherence to the 25 mph limit on Wilson Place as Fort Ritchie workers approach Fort Detrick. The city will add no parking signs, refurbish Taney Avenue signs, and boost police patrols.
