Severe storm hits Frederick County causing wide damage
A fast moving storm brought lightning and heavy rain to Frederick County late Tuesday. Power outages affected 8 000 to 9 000 customers while 150 storm related incidents and 250 911 calls strained the emergency center. A radio tower damage impaired some communications but 911 remained operational. An I 70 crash near Md 75 injured Robert L Williams Jr who was ejected from his Jeep in the wrecks.
