Frederick County Homemakers Mark 50th Anniversary
Frederick County Council Homemakers observe their 50th anniversary as the Extension Service marks six decades of home economics work. The clubs promote food and nutrition, clothing, home management, reading and arts, with library services, short courses, hospital and school programs, community service and tours. They sponsored clinics, delivered books, supported local health efforts, and hosted social events while expanding outreach beyond farms to towns and rural non farms.
