Maryland House votes to allow gambling on moving cruise ships
The Maryland House approved a bill to permit gambling on Chesapeake Bay cruise ships only while the vessel is moving and not in port. It also passed a measure to reduce civil juries from twelve to six by constitutional amendment and to outlaw watching cockfights or dogfights with penalties up to $1,000. all moves proceed to the Senate for consideration.

Cape St. Claire teen denied bail in murder case
A 16 year old Cape St. Claire youth charged as an adult in the stabbing death of 19 year old Jerry L. Haines was denied bail and remains at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
