Maryland Youth Ranch to add cottages at Fin gerboard site
Maryland Sheriff's Youth Ranch plans to house six to eight more boys after a 10 room cottage is finished this fall. The 21 current residents aged 11 to 17 will share space as renovations to Maryland House, a dormitory, and the barn are planned. Executive director Bill Green notes possible future program to keep pregnant teens in foster care with their children, offering parenting skills and day care as education continues. Construction could start by May and wrap by fall, funded mainly by donations. retreat at Ceresville Mansion featured Susan Kleinberg of the Governor's Office on Children Youth and Families.
