Ford Bares Operations And Public Stock Plan
Washington December 21 Ford Motor reveals a shift from family to partial public ownership with 10.2 million voting shares offered to the public. The company reports assets of 2.483 billion, nine month sales of 4.043 billion and a 1955 nine month earnings of 585 a share on the new basis. Funds go to the Ford Foundation to support colleges and hospitals. The plan limits holdings to 100 shares per investor amid first public sale set around January 18.

The Frederick Rotary club held a informal Christmas program at the Frances Scott Key Hotel with luncheon, a staff gift to the dining room team led by head waiter Sam Stroud, and carols performed by Dr. J. Members donated toys to the American Legion collection for underprivileged children as the celebration ended.
