CM Grange Holds Meet at Carroll Manor Anniversary
The Carroll Manor Grange marked its 27th anniversary on April 19 with a covered dish supper for 75 members and guests. Distinguished attendees included State Master and Mrs. Herbert Snyder Pomona Master and Mrs. Jesse Burall State Deputy and Mrs. Bruce Crum and other Grange leaders. Dean McClain of C&O National Park spoke on canal restoration, with Sam Gledhill presenting steam showcases from Kentucky New York Ohio and Pennsylvania. Plans for a Pomona meeting April 24 and a May 3 sewing contest fashion show were announced along with degrees conferred at Walkersville on April 23 for Donna Mills John Mills Roger Mills Jr Evelyn Mills Roger Mills Sr and Howard Fry.

Physical Fitness Commission Publishes Activity Directory
The Frederick County Physical Fitness Commission announced its first Directory of Physical Fitness Activities for Frederick County. The booklet lists non commercial activities organized in the county and aims for wide distribution through agencies and organizations. Copies are free on request. corrections and additions should be reported. Members include Eldridge Ward and Wayne Rhoderick among others.

Jeffersonian Club Auxiliary Meets in April Session
The Jeffersonian Democratic Auxiliary held its April 21 meeting led by president Mrs Amy Pazdersky. Reports from secretary and treasurer were reviewed. Evelyn Fox reported on the April 15 second quarterly meeting of The United Democratic Women's Clubs of Maryland at Northpoint Gardens Dunalk. Attendees included Jo Ann Grable Virginia Grable Margaret Spurrier Evelyn Fox and Amy Pazdersky. The Auxiliary voted a donation to The American Legion Auxiliary for Girls State. Vera Hash a candidate for president of The United Democratic Women's Clubs of Maryland received uniform support. Get well and sympathy flowers were acknowledged and a certificate of appreciation from The American Cancer Society for a donation was read. The group will attend the May 20 Spring luncheon at Martin's West Baltimore with several Auxiliaries members listed. Meeting adjourned until May 19 followed by refreshments.
