Mount instructor refuses to testify in bomb plot case
Dr. Thomas Reeves of Mt St Mary’s College in Emmitsburg was among four peace activists who declined to testify before a Harrisburg federal grand jury probing an alleged plan to kidnap Kissinger and end the Vietnam war. Reeves was excused. others questioned included Joe Gilchrist, George McVey, and Lillian Shirley. The probe has yielded seven no-shows, with six indicted earlier for conspiring to kidnap Kissinger and bomb tunnels, while two witnesses testified after immunity.
