Emelia Volkmar to Attend Jehovah's Witnesses Assembly

Myrtle Point resident Emelia Volkmar will travel to Eureka California for the Courageous Ministers District Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses held July 27 to 29. The event aims to train about 4000 delegates with Bible principle instruction and a Sunday public talk by a Watchtower Society representative.

4 H Camp Sees Two Sessions at Camp Myrtlewood

4 H youths age 9 to 11 attend two 1962 sessions at Camp Myrtlewood in Curry and Douglas counties. Activities include camp cooking entomology forestry wildlife electricity crafts and gun and archery safety with an overnight fire breakfast. Counselors from Coos county lead both camps and one group will join the Order of the Crawdad initiation for demonstrated traits and conduct.
