Washington Letter on pork barrel funding and Oregon projects
Harris Ellsworth notes the annual pork barrel charges in the conference report with 45 reclamation and 250 navigation and flood control appropriations totaling 400 million dollars for navigation and flood projects. He highlights Oregon actions including Deschutes and Rogue River reclamation funds and specific dam and harbor allocations while claiming credit for Talent project support and criticizing party-line votes and anti-starts on public works.
