Relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Hoffmen honored the Hoffmens on their 50th wedding anniversary at Broadbent Grange Hall on Sunday December 31. Rev. Walter Graham opened with a prayer and a golden anniversary poem as guests swelled to over 150.
Hosts Mrs. Frank Furman and Mrs. Andrew Wateman led a December 30 bridal shower for Mrs. Lee Shull, nee Kathy Franzen, at the Presbyterian Church. Guests included many local families, with service by Reed Gurney and Mary Furman and thanks extended to friends after the loss of Lyman Rackleff.
Mrs. Clara Crump of Myrtle Point announces the engagement of her daughter Mane Crump to Howard Vander Zanden of Forest Grove Oregon. The couple met at Christmas at the Bushnell home. Mane is a Myrtle Point High School 1966 graduate and student in Eugene. Howard is a 1965 Forest Grove Union High School graduate, served two years in the National Guard, and attends Lane Community College in Eugene. No wedding date set.
Mrs Don Driscoll Patty Sue of Eugene Mrs Helen Holmes of Portland and Mrs Dave McGuire of Coos Bay called on Mr and Mrs Ritchie Francis and family recently. Open house on Sixth Street hosted by Mr and Mrs Charles Humble. Myrtle Grange 289 New Year party at IOOF Hall with pinochles and bingo. Various visits, Christmas travel and Navy farewell party. birth of Robert William Palmer and extended family updates.
