30th Air Division Wins Smith Trophy
Airman First Class Sherman L. Watson helped the Such Air Division win the Smith Trophy as the top air defense ground unit. The ADC unit, headquartered at Sioux City, operates SAGE radar coverage over the central plains. Watson, a Richards-Gabour AFB, Missouri air policeman, is from this city and a 1962 MPHS graduate.
