More than 200 wild ducks geese swans pheasants and peacocks form the central wild life exhibit at the Florida Sportsmen Exposition on the fair grounds in Eustis March 17 22. W M Gist of McIntosh Marion County a leading expert hatched and raised many birds for the display set in an enlarged pool near exhibition pens. Florida Island Work has begun on a Florida shaped island at the fair grounds to plant trees and shrubs by section of the state, including Lake County.

Miss Lena Elizabeth Harding of Mount Dora was among 320 seniors at Florida State College for Women who received cap and gown during an investiture in the college auditorium. President Doak S. Campbell placed the mortarboard as Dr Broward Cul delivered the address. The Grand March from Tannhauser and Mendelssohn’s War March of the Priests accompanied the ceremony. A pine fence post treatment demonstration will be held November 26 at 2 p.m. on the courthouse square in Tavares. Cattlemen and others urged to attend about post supplies.
