May Corn Scramble and Golf Event at Mount Dora
The Mount Dora Golf Association hosts The Corn Scramble with golf pairings by Harry York, a social hour, and corn and mullet prepared by the club chefs. Drought relief is noted but lightning risks rise, including a pine tree struck near the four fairway. Harry York and Taylor Timberlake plan a mixed left and right handed tournament at Greenleaf Country Club near Haines City. Beckham's Raiders report a full week of play with multiple daily winners and a three-way tie Friday.
