W T Thomas Jr of Daytona Beach set a world mark at the Feb 22 meet in Eustis. Cars weigh five to eight pounds and are about a foot long, capable of speeds over 100 mph.

Also Mount Dora Town Council proposes an ordinance regulating electrical wiring with final passage to be considered June 3 1947 at City Hall.
Classified ad notes a furnished apartment with summer rate $25 a month including lights and water at 118 Highland Ave. Also lists other ads for sale and services and a lost beagle notification. Items include golf clubs sale, baby crib for $10, housekeeping, and a real estate listing rewrite.
Dr. J. E. Guy will depart today for Jacksonville to attend the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association annual meeting at the George Washington Hotel. He serves as assistant editor of the association's state journal and is scheduled to return Sunday.
