Death of 69 year old Fred C. Wolff a Mount Dora winter resident occurred last Friday at Waterman Memorial hospital in Eustis. Prayer services at Rehbaum Funeral chapel preceded burial in Detroit. He is survived by his wife Jennie two nephews T D Stillwell of Detroit and Dr George G Stillwell of Rochester Minnesota and sister in law Mrs J J Eager of Detroit.

W D Patton attended the 37th annual encampment and convention of the Florida department of United Spanish War Veterans in Tampa May 4 to 7. Herbert W Hardman of Leesburg was elected commander for 1947 1948. The department backed universal military training and veterans hospital program but urged faster hospital expansion.
Mrs. Mary Ross of 413 Ninth Street in Mount Dora cherishes a visit from her son, a Pacific War brigadier general and Purple Heart recipient, who arrived from Mobile, Alabama, and soon returned home.

Kiwanis clubs of central Florida delay their division picnic to avoid clashing with Leesburg Chamber of Commerce Watermelon Festival set for June 18 in Leesburg and Kiwanis gathering in Eustis. The picnic will occur later in the summer after the international convention in Chicago from June 29 to July 1.
