The 24th graduating class will receive diplomas at the Community Building ceremony Friday night signaling summer break. Reopening is planned for Sept 8 with staff largely unchanged led by supervising principal D D Ros ross. The event featured baccalaureate remarks by Rev James Sutley and performances by the junior choir and high school glee club.

Center Plans Arts and Swimming Summer Programs
The advisory committee named Harold Goforth as recreation chairman to run a youth center summer program with arts and craft classes and swimming and lifesaving lessons under Robert Bardwell and William Barker. The club house will stay open this summer under Goforth with volunteer adult supervisors and parental support sought for swimming lessons. A picnic and boat ride are planned for center members.
