County 4H Club Exhibit In Tavares Draws Crowd
About 50 4H Club girls parents and friends attended a Saturday May 5 exhibit at the Home Demonstration and 4H Club building in Tavares. Food preparation canning gardening and clothing work were shown and judged by Anna Mae Sikes and Elsie Mae Shuler. Demonstrations included making up a bed by Margie Grant and talks on club work by Joyce Merritt and Ann Pike.

In the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida Lake County a divorce suit by Eugene Owens against Ella Scott Owens requires the defendant to appear to the bill of complaint by June 4. A publication order runs weekly for four weeks in Mount Dora Topic and notices were sent to the defendant’s last known address. The clerk is George J. Dykes with attorney Thomas N. Cooley. Also service names Mary Boles as another party to appear.
