County Agent notes urge cattlemen across Florida to collect six to ten ticks from multiple animals and mail samples to state officials in Tallahassee or Jacksonville. Florida Sportsmen Expo Dates Set for 1948 Fair
The Lake County Fair Association set March 15 to 20 for the 1948 Florida Sportsmen Expo. Plans include roofed coverage and expanded exhibits, a 150 to 200 seat theater, a restaurant, and year round use for the theater and restaurant. Secretary-Manager Lehmann noted Florida Island work continues to be ready before the expo. The 1947 fair paid all bills with a surplus, attendance 26 365, and officers praised President Lee Polk and Lehmann.
