The Mount Dora area announced dates for two popular spring events. The Sailing Regatta is set for April 8 and 9, 1972, while the Antique Car Club of America Florida Division Tour runs April 16 to 18, 1972.

Florida Power gives notice to Mount Dora on contract

Officials at Mount Dora City Hall learned Florida Power plans to cancel its five year wholesale supply contract when the 1975 expiry arrives. FPC will seek a wholesale rate increase from the Federal Power Commission this fall, with any approved rise not affecting the 1970 contract term. Leesburg is the only other Lake County city involved.

Prices for 2 and 3 bedroom flats range from 26500 to 31950. The city welcomes the acquisition for Mount Dora.
