Nearly 90 thousand war workers are expected to migrate southward next year as production ramps up. Sawmills idle due to log and labor shortages while potato shipments surge from North Carolina. Meat prices drop about 3 cents per pound on average, excluding cured pork. Emergency tires with an O marking will be supplied with recapped tires for limited use.
