Police officers complete burglary investigation course
The Law Enforcement Institute of Seminole Junior College announced that Sgt. Emmett L. Lane Filmn, Allen C. Hatch, Ptlmn. Lee McRee, Ptlmn. Wes F. Cater and Ptlmn. Stanley C. Nichols of the Mount Dora Police Department completed a 12 hour workshop on burglary investigation. The seminar covered basic principles, evidence collection, scene protection and photographing, fingerprint and tool mark evidence, burglar modus operandi, interview techniques and testifying in court. A Certificate of Merit was presented by Sgt. John Timmes.
