Second Leesburg Boxing Show Delivers Thrills and Comebacks
The Leesburg American Legion hosted the second boxing show of the season on Friday night December 4 with 175 pound rivals Eddie Arego of Boise Idaho and Bill Sykes of Jacksonville Florida in the main ten round bout. Sykes dominated early landing repeatedly but Arego rallied to win by judges decision after ten rounds. Semi final featured Kid Miller of Cairo Georgia Mount Dora against Al Schneider of Jacksonville with Miller taking the decision in six rounds. Other bouts included Johnny Gienn Paisley versus Richard Denson Eustis and K Reiss Leesburg over Payton Eustis in four rounds. The Mount Dora string band provided music between rounds and prizes were given to attendees.
